Well we are finally on our way - our adventure has been in the planning and organizing stage since June 1999. The things that you work hardest for are usually the most worthwhile. We are finally packed - for those of you who were around for the packing and unpacking stages know how emotional it was for Sherry - she is finally down to 4 pairs of shoes. Sean is actually allowed to bring some clothes now - 2 pairs of pants, 2 shirts, 2 shorts and 2 underwear!!!
Thank you so much to everyone who came to say goodbye and to wish us well in Kenora, Thunder Bay, The Soo and Goulais. We even had surprise visitors from Ottawa, Windsor, South Carolina and Sudbury. We truly appreciate the effort and support, even though all this encouragement from everyone in our lives has us wondering if the celebrations were for us or for the fact that you are rid of us for one whole year???
We would also like to thank all of the family and friends that let us crash at their houses so we could visit and start our travels including everyone in Barrie, Pickering, Mississauga and Los Angeles/Orange County. We had tons of fun and appreciate the hospitality. |
